Commission FAQ

If you cannot find the answer to your question here, please feel free to contact me through the e-mail form on the main page!

HOW LONG WILL MY COMMISSION TAKE?

This depends largely on the complexity of your order and my current queue of commissions. I will let you know upon accepting your order how long I think it will take, and if I go beyond that deadline I will do my best to contact you and let you know if it will be longer. If you have your own deadline (such as a friend's birthday or Christmas present), PLEASE inform me upon submitting your order and I will do my best to make sure your gift is ready!

WHAT IF I WANT MORE THAN A PORTRAIT?

If you wish to commission a large scale custom piece, it will be priced based on its complexity rather than a flat rate. Please be aware that very large paintings or scenes may quote upwards of US$80-100 or more.

WHY ARE YOU POSTING ART THAT ISN'T MY COMMISSION?

I absolutely do my best to make sure that commissions are done before personal work, but sometimes art isn't always a streamlined process. I might need to stop looking at your painting or drawing and come back to it later to make sure I'm not missing any glaring errors! Please do not assume I am ignoring your order, or that I have forgotten about it!

WILL YOU DRAW ADULT-THEMED COMMISSIONS? WHAT ABOUT VIOLENCE?

This is very much a case by case basis, and while I'm generally pretty chill with most themes, there are some I'm simply not willing to participate in.  Your best bet is simply to ask and keep in mind that I reserve the right to refuse a commission if I don't think I'm capable of providing what you're requesting.

I DON'T AGREE WITH YOUR PRICES!

Whether you think I'm overcharging or undercharging, please know that the prices I've set are what I feel is fair for my time and the effort I've put into practicing what I do. When you pay for a piece of artwork, you're not just paying for that singular piece - the cost also takes into account the experience of the artist you're commissioning. So whether you choose to hire me, or go elsewhere, please be respectful of the artist. After all, you like their art for a reason!
